Regular cleaning and a deep clean are two different jobs

Worth being clear about, because the pricing is different. Regular cleaning is a retainer: a cleaner comes at the same time each week or fortnight, works to a list you set, and keeps the house at a level. It is charged per cleaner per hour, £22 weekly and £24 fortnightly, with no call-out and no minimum charge. A one off deep clean is a team job with a different rate and a different scope, and it is what you want before a party, after builders, or when you have inherited somebody else’s grime.

Most of our regular work sits in a band running from Canbury down through the town centre to Berrylands, and a fair share of our cleaners get to jobs by bus rather than by van. Cromwell Road bus station is the hub for routes 65, 71, 85, 111, 213, 216, 281, 371, 411, 465 and the K1 to K5, so a mid-morning start in a well-connected street is easier for us to staff reliably than a 7am start on a road with one bus an hour. If your ideal slot is early, say so and we will be honest about whether we can hold it every week.

Parking is the other thing to settle before the first visit. Most of KT1 and KT2 sits inside a controlled zone, and the council publishes a road-by-road checker, because the zone boundaries run along streets and ignore postcodes. A visitor permit for the slot is cheaper than a ticket, and it stops the clean turning into a game of moving the car.

How we run it

Trial visit first

Book one clean before committing to a rota. If the fit is wrong, nobody has signed anything.

Notes stay with the house

Which cupboard the cloths live in, which floor hates water, where the dog sleeps. Written down, so cover staff are not guessing.

Products

We bring ours. If you would rather we used yours because of an allergy or a stone worktop, that is easier for everyone.

Pay monthly

Bank transfer against a monthly invoice. Cash is fine too, though nobody seems to carry it any more.

Regular cleaning questions

How much is a weekly cleaner in Kingston?

£22 per cleaner per hour on a weekly rota, so a three hour visit is £66. Fortnightly is £24 an hour because the house takes longer after two weeks.

Is there a minimum booking?

Two hours. Below that the travel eats the visit and the work suffers.

Do I need to be in?

No. Most clients leave a key with us or arrange collection through the concierge. Keys are coded and kept in a safe.

What if my cleaner is on holiday?

We offer cover and tell you who is coming. You can also skip the week and pay nothing.

Can I change the day?

Permanently, yes, subject to the rota. Occasionally, yes, with 48 hours notice.

What about limescale?

Hard water round here means shower screens and taps need descaling most visits rather than occasionally. It is built into the standard bathroom clean.
