Hampton, and where its postcodes actually run

Worth clearing up first, because it affects searches and deliveries more than it affects the cleaning. Hampton itself is TW12. Hampton Wick, a mile east along the park wall, is KT1, and Hampton Court sits over the bridge in KT8. We work all three and price them identically, so it makes no practical difference to a quote, but if you are typing an address into a form it saves an argument.

There is a nice irony in the water. Hampton has treated London’s drinking water since the Victorian waterworks went up on Upper Sunbury Road, and the gatehouse on Thames Street still carries the Southwark and Vauxhall Water Company inscription over its arch. The supply that comes out of it is still hard, so shower screens cloud, kettle elements fur, and “limescale to bathroom fittings” is one of the lines we see most often on a Richmond check-out report. Descaling is part of the standard clean here rather than an extra we add on.

The housing is mostly Victorian, Edwardian and 1930s family stock, with bigger riverside houses along Thames Street near Garrick’s Villa and the temple he built to Shakespeare in the garden. Parking is easier than in Teddington or Hampton Wick, though the roads around the station and Station Road tighten up on a weekday. Bushy Park is on the doorstep, which is lovely and also the reason hall carpets take a beating from October onwards.

What we get booked for in Hampton

Move-out cleans

Family houses more often than flats here, so three and four beds at £339 and £425 are common. The full checklist is on the move-out page.

Ovens and ranges

Bigger kitchens mean more range cookers. A 90cm range is £114, a two-oven AGA £143, a standard single £77. See how we clean them.

Carpets after a wet autumn

Park mud in the hall is the seasonal job here. Bedrooms £36, living room £43, stairs £41 a flight. Prices on the carpet page.

Descaling and deep cleans

Bathrooms that have never been properly descaled need a full deep clean. From £186, explained on the deep clean page.

Why book us in Hampton

Limescale is routine work

Proper descaler and the time to let it work, not a spray and a wipe on the way out.

We cover all three postcodes

TW12, the KT1 pocket at Hampton Wick and KT8 over the bridge, at one price.

Big kitchens do not scare us

Range cookers and AGAs are quoted properly and take a morning, which we allow for.

Saturday slots

Same rate as a weekday, which suits households where nobody is in during the week.

Hampton prices

Same list as Kingston, with no travel charge for crossing the river. Range cookers and AGAs are the only add-ons that differ from a standard oven.

Hampton questions

Is Hampton KT1 or TW12?

Hampton is TW12. The KT1 postcode belongs to Hampton Wick at the eastern end of Bushy Park, and Hampton Court is KT8. We cover all of it at the same rates.

Can you get the shower screen clear?

Usually, yes. Where scale has been left for years it etches the glass and no chemical brings that back. We will tell you which you have before charging you for it.

What about the neighbouring areas?

We work Hampton Wick and Teddington daily, and the full price list is on the prices page.
